Surrounded by beautiful countryside in a sleepy rural hamlet our 18th century farmhouse is 2km from the pretty village of St-Martin-de-Landelles. With boulangerie, café, pharmacy, shops and bar there is everything within easy reach.
There are two bedrooms and a shower room with a wc. The spacious master bedroom has a double bed with plenty of room for a cot if required. The second bedroom has an adult sized bunk bed and an optional adult sized single bed. A washing machine is located in the storeroom and an under cover clothes line provided for all weather drying.
Outside there is ample car parking space and a large private garden with patio furniture and a stone barbeque. The house is well equipped and heated making it comfortable for year round use either for holidays, relaxing or as a base for house hunting .
Nearby is the L’ange-Michel leisure park, which is a very popular attraction in the summer. The park is situated on the shores of the lakes of Vezins. The lakes are ideal for walking , fishing or relaxing with a picnic and taking in the views. This area is well known for its cycling, with many lanes and quiet cycle routes. Only a 15 minute drive away is the town of St.Hilaire-de-Harcouet, with its weekly country market, which is the most popular in the area for fresh vegetables, meats and the delicious Normandy cheeses.
Mont-St-Michel the famous medieval monastery is about a thirty minute car drive away to the west and is a must for a visit, it is the original fairy tale castle with breathtaking views from the top .Further to the east is the rugged Brittany coast and the seafood centre of Cancale and its endless oyster beds, a sight to see at low tide .
To the north via the scenic ’route de la baie’ are the beautiful coastal resorts of La Manche with their miles of unspoilt sandy beaches wonderful for kite flying, shell collecting or just soaking up the sun. Most of the resort beaches have safety patrols during normal hours for added peace of mind and an ice cream parlour is never too far away. A good golf course and a casino for those feeling lucky are at Granville also known as the ‘Monaco of the north’, with wonderful shops and restaurants and a hydrofoil for day trips to Jersey.
The traditional oak and granite farmhouse has comfortable accomodation on the ground floor.There is a compact well equipped kitchen and dinning area with an open aspect into the lounge which has a television and video and DVD player, cd-radio-cassete-player and a magnificent ancient fire-place for a beautiful fire on a winters evening with a glass of the local wine or two.
